Local Artist - Wellington Dhliwayo

Bee Eater Wellington Dhliwayo is an exceptionally talented fine artist based here in Chiredzi. He has been painting and drawing for over ten years and has sold many of his pieces to individuals all over Zimbabwe. Visitors to our country take great interest in his work.

Wellington was born in 1980 and grew up in Harare where he completed primary and secondary education before moving to Chiredzi. Favouring the use of oil paints and chalk pastels, his recent work is inspired by the natural settings, people and birds of Zimbabwe.

He dreams of establishing an Art Gallery in the Lowveld to promote regional art and craft to locals and international visitors.
