South Eastern College Fantasia 2014 |
South Eastern College in Chiredzi put on an electrifying Fantasia show this year! The two houses, Tambuti and Mahogany battled it out on stage performing in a variety of categories. The set song was the Justin Bieber's "Pray" – which both houses did them extremely well. The choice song from Tambuti was "Lean on Me" and Mahogany sang "Swing Down". From the song and dance, to the skits and orchestra, the pupils managed to entertain the fully packed hall. This was truly an evening to remember as we laughed our lungs out after watching Tambuti’s skit entitled "Warnings That Came in a Dream" and Mahogany's "Eveyone is our Child". The actors and actresses really kept us entertained as they interpreted in a creative manner the daily conflicts that humans face. For the small groups Mahogany sang "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele and Tambuti sang "Diamonds" by Rihanna. We had Donald Chada and Tatenda Sibanda from Mahogany singing a duet, "Just Give me a Reason", from Tambuti we had John Moyo and Daisy Shambare singing "Beneath the Beautiful". Zoey and Crew performed as gap fillers. For the musical ensembles, Tambuti played Whistle, Happiness and the National Anthem, whilst Mahogany played Patapata, We be Burning and a Traditional song. Lastly we had dancing, with Mahogany performing a wedding dance, kwaito and gumboot dance. Tambuti performed the police dance, clacks, house and hip-hop. When all was said and done, Tambuti house won the trophy—well done to them. A big thank-you to Mrs Mundeta and Mr Chuchu of South Eastern College's Cultural Department for organizing this memorable function. Below are selected photographs from the show:
